Coast. The youth gathered rubbish at Üsküdar’s Coast to set an example and contribute to the
cleanliness of the environment.
In another event held in October, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Youth Council Healthy Life
Club took a technical trip to one of Turkey’s leading environmental management company ISTAÇ Inc.

classified and how these wastes were benefited. In addition, it had the opportunity to learn first-
hand how the waste management contributed to companies and the country’s economy in general.
Young people who had the opportunity to see on the spot how difficult even a single waste in nature
was recovered, examined the field where these works were carried out and then listened to the
presentation from a person in charge in a place allocated to them.
For the last event of October, the Council organized a seminar program on Solid Waste Management
in Sarachane. Approximately 150 young people participated in the seminar program focused on Solid
Waste Management, Damage of Solid Waste on the Environmental and Human Health, Collecting,
Reusing, Recycling, Energy Recovery, Storage and Solid Waste Disposal Methods.
